1. What data we collect and why

1.1 Voluntarily provided data

  • Registration & Profile: Email, password, username, date of birth.

  • Optional profile information: Profile picture, hometown, motorcycle make/model, hobbies, biography.

  • Content of your posts: Texts, images, and videos in the feed, chat messages, and comments.

1.2 Automatically collected data

  • Location data (if you permit this): for suggesting common meeting points and for push notifications about ride outs in your vicinity.

  • Usage data: App version, frequency and type of your app usage, activities in the feed, chat functions, etc.

  • Technical data: Device and operating system type, IP address, date/time of use.

2. Use of data

We process your data in order to:

  • provide, maintain, and further develop the app,

  • provide you with relevant meeting point suggestions based on your location,

  • send you push notifications about planned ride outs in your vicinity,

  • enable communication between users (chat, feed),

  • send you emails (e.g., support requests, updates, important notices),

  • ensure app security and fraud prevention,

  • improve the user experience by analyzing anonymized usage statistics.

3. Sharing of data

3.1 Within the platform

  • Your username, profile picture, and shared content will be visible to other RIDE OUT users.

3.2 Service providers and technical partners

We use the following external services to provide maps, analytics, hosting, and messaging:

  • Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) for map display;

  • Firebase Crashlytics & Google Analytics (Google Inc.) for app stability and usage analysis;

  • Firebase Remote Config, Cloud Messaging (Google Inc.) for configuration and push notifications;

  • Firebase Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Dynamic Links, Cloud Functions (Google Inc.) for backend, storage, profile links, and security logic.

3.3 Legal disclosure

  • In the event of a legitimate official interest (e.g., court order, law enforcement).

  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our company within the legal framework.

3.4 Anonymized data

  • We may use data in anonymized form (without personal reference) for analytical purposes or for sharing with third parties.

4. Retention period

  • Profile and login data: until your account is deleted.

  • Posts (feed, chat): until deleted by you or your account is deleted.

  • Location data for meeting points & push function: only as long as necessary, then anonymized.

  • Crash and usage data: up to 26 months, then deleted or anonymized.

5. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • information about your stored personal data,

  • correction of incorrect data,

  • deletion or restriction of processing,

  • objection to processing,

  • data portability (as far as technically possible).

6. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy as needed. The “Valid from” date above will be updated accordingly; in the event of significant changes, we will also inform you within the app.
